Following a pre-published protocol, we implemented a comprehensive systematic review and meta-analysis. From 88 randomized controlled trials (RCTs) spanning the period 2002 to 2022, we compiled 196 outcomes; health-related quality of life (HRQoL) responses were documented for 76% of the trials' reported numbers of living and eligible patients. Upon follow-up, the median mortality rate was 27% (interquartile range 14%-39%), and among surviving patients, the median non-response rate across all outcomes was 20% (9%-38%). Age, height, weight, body fat proportion, sex, and race were used to match subjects (p>0.05) employing propensity scores of 0.33009 versus 0.33009 (p>0.05). Diffuse adenomyosis, characterized by symptoms and detectable through ultrasound, rather than asymptomatic cases, had a detrimental effect on in vitro fertilization outcomes.
