Potato consumption is highly prevalent around the globe. Previous studies have reported a positive association of potato consumption with hypertension and diabetes. But, data tend to be scarce on potato usage and risk of coronary artery infection (CAD). We prospectively studied 148,671 members from Million Veteran system (MVP). We utilized a semi-quantitative food regularity survey to evaluate use of baked, boiled, and mashed potatoes. The incidence of CAD was examined through digital health record. We utilized Cox Proportional threat design to calculate danger ratios (HR) and 95% confidence intervals (95% CI) for CAD events across types of potato consumption.
